Bernard Sullivan Ends Up in Charlotte

Former Clemson forward, Bernard Sullivan, has found in new home at Charlotte. The 49ers recruited Sullivan heavily out of high school and head coach Allan Major calls him “a skilled athletic forward who’s able to handle the basketball.” After sitting one season, Sullivan is expected to be the go-to guy.

A reason was never given for Sullivan leaving Clemson. With Devin Booker and Milton Jennings graduating, the front court appeared to belong to Sullivan, a former top-100 player coming out of high school. A bit undersized for his position, Sullivan was known to be a competitor, especially in the paint. However, the lack of a offensive skill-set, mixed with questionable defensive, got him stuck on the bench for most of his two years in Clemson. Despite being the only legit backup to the four spot,  Sullivan only averaged about nine minutes per game last year. I guess he and Brad Brownell didn’t see eye-to-eye on his own ability.
