Blue Devils Aiming To Add More Threes – UPDATED

The Duke Blue Devils have yet to land a single recruit for their 2014 class, but they just offered a scholarship to shooting guard Grayson Allen, who could end up being their first commit.

Allen is the 6th rated shooting guard (according to Scout) in the 2014 class.  He is a classic three-point shooter. He loves the pick-and-pop and works well off of screens. He’s not lightening quick, but he’s athletic enough to take the ball inside and finish around the rim. And yes, this white boy can dunk. If anything, he needs to work on his aggressiveness. He tends to be passive in situations when he needs to be “the man” on the court.

Right now, the Jacksonville native has a ton of offers right now, including all four big Miami schools (FSU, Florida, Miami and South Florida), but if you believe Scout, then Duke has to be the heavy favorite. In fact, some think he’ll commit sooner rather than later.

*** UPDATED ***

Well, that was quick. The Duke Blue Devils make an offer for 2014 SG Grayson Allen and the man says, yes. That was easy. Allen is the first 2014 commitment for Coach K.

What kind of high school player would Allen be if he didn’t have a Youtube highlight package?
