First they came for his finger, now they are taking his vermiform appendix.

After missing seven games due to a broken finger, Virginia was hoping to get Justin Anderson back for the season finale. However, the junior has been ruled out after have an appendectomy on Thursday.

His status for the ACC Tournament is now up in the air, although according to Wikipedia, which can never be wrong, the average recover time is 1.8 days.

Despite struggling offensively without their top offensive threat, the Cavilers have kept on trucking, winning every game since Anderson’s injury. Although I suspect head coach Tony Bennett would prefer not to find out how far his team can advance in the ACC Tournament without arguable the league’s best three-point shooter.
