Vegas Odds For Everyone

Vegas knows best, right? Um…maybe not.

Vegas Insider has released the early odds to win the 2014 championship.

Obviously, Kentucky is the odds on favorite at 5/1. They seem to get that right, but when you look at some of the odds in the ACC, I’m starting to wonder if Vegas is paying attention.

Duke gets the second best odds in the nation (tied with Louisville), but that seems a bit high. The Blue Devils are going to be real good and are certainly one of a handful of teams that will be the favorite, but the second best team? Seems high for a team that is just outside most experts’ top-five in early polling.

Also, Pitt ahead of Notre Dame? Yes, Cooley is gone, but the Irish bring back a lot more experience, while the Panthers are dealing with a long list of defections.

Worst yet…both N.C. State and Miami have better odds than Boston College? The Eagles return every key player who contributed to an improving B.C. team last year. The Wolfpack and Hurricanes are losing a combine 10 starters. The Hurricanes are returning around 13 combined points from last year. B.C.’s Hanlan alone scored more. Nuts.

Anyhow, here are the odds for every ACC team.

Duke…12/1

North Carolina…25/1

Syracuse…40/1

Pittsburgh…70/1

Virginia…70/1

Florida State…80/1

North Carolina State…125/1

Notre Dame…125/1

Miami, Fl…125/1

Maryland…250/1

Clemson…500/1

Wake Forest…500/1

Georgia Tech…500/1

Boston College…500/1

Virginia Tech…no odds.
